The start of June and half way through the year, it was a quiet walk round Bev's though. The weather was not great and despite seeing most of the usual suspects it seemed quiet and lacking. The good news was a single Oystercatcher youngster which had successfully made it from the island and seemed safer away from the Lesser Black backs' on the island. It was brought food by the adults, and was well tuned into the alarm calls of the parents, when the Lesser black backed gulls approached the call went up and it took to moving away, lets hope it survives. The Reed warblers were still present and looked like staying, hopefully to have young.
